And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s brother. - Genesis 24:27

We’ve all experienced those times when we were not sure which way to go. We’ve had to make decisions we weren’t sure how to make. In this verse, we read that Abraham sent his servant to find a bride for his son, Issac. The servant states, “The LORD led me.” If we are going to go in the right direction and be led the right way, we must allow the Lord to do that for us.

Let God lead the way. Do you remember playing “Follow the Leader”  in Elementary school? Everyone always wanted to be the leader, standing in front of a group of followers. Nothing has really changed over the years. We all want to make our own decisions and chart our own paths. But the servant in this text teaches us that we should depend on God to lead our way.

Over the past several years, I have learned there are two ways I can do things: my way or God’s way. I promise you will be a lot further ahead in life when you are willing to submit yourself to God's leadership and allow Him to control your life. His ways are always better than ours.
